I agree that "this ain’t about you (sorry!), it’s about me" means that it isn't 100% relevant content. Inspire.com is a good community where your posts could benefit you and other members. But periodic updates back here, as you suggest, can be relevant: your readers are invested in _you_ not just "Technology, Web Development and Saltwater Fly Fishing". Great post. I write a blog about weight loss or rather trying to regain my health. I actively chose to share this journey because I feel that it keeps me clean and on target. I also feel that I get inordinate support from readers. That being said, I respect that your journey may be a private one.
