vBulletin 3.6.1 Released

vBulletin 3.6.1 Released

Bug fixes to the latest release.  They moved fairly quickly from the 3.5 release to the 3.6 level.  I’ve still got several sites down at the 3.0.x level.  (For those unfamiliar, vBulletin is my favorite forum/discussion software.  I’ve integrated it into many sites…like http://www.reel-time.com )

None of my sites are at 3.6 – although I have an install coming up that will no doubt use the latest greatest (certainly if I have any say).  Is anyone running vBull at that level now?

 More on the release here.

  1. How to integrate Vbulletin with your site, so existing users who were logged into the site not to have to log in again in order to use vbulletin.

  2. I include the global.php at the top of the page, which allows me to access the global functions of vBulletin, then I can do login scripts, access user functions, etc. There’s a login on a non-vb script at vBulletin.org that would point you in the right direction. None of my sites that are integrated to that level are currently using 3.6, but I have been working with it extensively at

and I believe there haven’t been significant changes to the global functions. Post back or email if you need any help, I will point you in the right direction.

  3. Now I could integrated vB with my site, so user only once login, using ….
The problem is how to get session from vB to my site. Would you like to give me code to do that.
